Akash Ragbir is BHL

Akash Ragbir is BHL’s new Quality & Productivity
Improvement Manager
TRINIDADIAN BORN, Akash Ragbir has joined the BHL Group’s
Corporate Division as Quality & Productivity Improvement Manager.
A certified Quality Manager, Mr. Ragbir’s main responsibilities include
reviewing operational procedures and systems and implementing the
necessary changes. He will also design, develop and implement quality
management systems. Performing operational analyses and evaluations, as
well as the identification and implementation of productivity improvement
systems are also his responsibility.
Of his role, the new BHL manager noted, “My task is simply to assess the
systems and procedures in place and correct any inefficiencies while seeking
ways to improve productivity.”
He added, “My immediate focus is the PHD where my first step is to
perform a baseline analysis. To do this, I must assess the processes involved
at the Dairy and identify any gaps in terms of performance and process
measures.”
A University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus graduate, Mr. Ragbir
holds a Masters in Production Management and a BSc. in Biochemistry. He
is also certified in Statistical Process Control and holds a Diploma in
Brewing Science and a Certificate in Brewing.
A Former Quality & Productivity Improvement Manager at Carib Brewery
in Trinidad, Mr. Ragbir was also the Manufacturing Manager at Caribbean

Packaging Industries, also in Trinidad. In addition, he has held the post of
Project Manager at Global Packaging, where his responsibility was to
oversee the installation of a new bottling line at Red Stripe Brewery,
Jamaica.
Mr. Ragbir is a member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas
and an Associate Member of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies with his wife Indira and
entertaining his one-year old daughter Avani. He is also an avid West Indies
cricket fan.
