Banks Holdings Limited Appoints Country Manager

Bridgetown, Barbados- Banks Holdings Limited ("BHL") is delighted to announce that Mrs, Shafia London has been appointed as the company's first female, first CARICOM based Country Manager since the company was acquired by Anheuser- Busch in 2015, She took up the post on January 1, 2022, just one year after becoming the first Vincentian to be named Country Manager of St, Vincent Brewery Limited's 35-year history,
Mrs, London served as Banks Holdings Limited Commercial Manager and previously the Marketing Manager, She also fulfilled the role of Regional Commercial Manager for CND with responsibility for the sales and marketing functions at St, Vincent Brewery and the Dominica Brewery and Beverage Limited, as well as other Caribbean territories, In 2017 she transitioned to Banks Holdings Limited as Commercial Manager,
Throughout her impressive career, Mrs, London has demonstrated significant expertise in commercial strategy and business management, She led the integration of BHL's sales and marketing teams and executed strategies that improved the market share and overall sales, Critically, this achievement was against a backdrop of ongoing economic challenges and major changes to the company's distribution model, Additionally, she has amassed a wealth of commercial experience in the beverage industry, having worked with brands such as PINEHILL,   Presidente,   Hairoun,   Deputy   Beer, Banks Beer, Kubuli, Guinness, Vitamalt, Budweiser and Corona,
While discussing her new position, Mrs, London said, "I'm honored to be leading the team at BHL, It is an amazing company with an excellent team and I strongly believe we can develop and implement creative strategies to build upon BHL's reputation as a world-class beverage company,"
Mrs, London recently completed an MBA and holds a Master of Science in Biochemical Engineering from University College London, She also has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (Hons) with minors in Human Resource Management and Communication from the University of the West Indies, The thirty six year old was the first female President of the Rotary Club of St, Vincent and has since then given of herself to many philanthropic efforts across the region,
With the appointment of London as BHL's newest Country Manager BHL's MANCOM team is comprised of 44% females from varying backgrounds, BHL is proud of its track record of Diversity and Inclusion
