Corona Winners Agree That This Is Living

October 25, 2017

Banks Distribution Limited (BDL), the local distributors of Corona, have announced the winners of its This Is Living promotion. The promotion, which ran for six weeks, allowed members of the public to participate by submitting proof that they had purchased a six pack of Corona. The winning names were drawn from hundreds of entries.

Grand prize winner, Leah Brewster, is a university student who will be enjoying a three-day trip for two to Miami Beach with $500 USD spending money. She entered during a promotional event. “It was actually the first time I’d ever tried Corona, but I loved it,” said Ms. Brewster. “I was very surprised to be announced as the winner, but I’m really excited.”

Eight other people also won exclusive Corona Beach Ready Kits, which include branded caps, towels, beach chairs, sunglasses, shoes and beach coolers.

Category Manager for Banks (Barbados) Breweries Limited, Charles Walcott, is happy with the public’s response to the promotion. “All of our winners would have purchased their beer from a different location, which is a great indication that Barbadians from all walks of life are enjoying the brand.”

The promotion is a component of Corona’s This Is Living campaign, which was launched in Barbados earlier this year. The campaign encourages Barbadians to disconnect from the stresses of everyday life and re-energize by living more moments that matter.

Corona has also been hosting a series of outdoor mini events, called Log Off & Lime, to great success. The Log Off & Lime events have partnered with several local businesses, to host pop-up limes over the last 12 weeks, which encouraged locals to take a break, and live more moments that matter.

“Barbados’ local liming culture presents a unique synergy with the thinking behind our roll of the This Is Living campaign,” said Shafia London, Marketing Manager, Banks Holdings Limited. “It was easy for our team to find a way to combine Corona’s reputation as a beer for those moments of relaxation with friends and family, with Barbados’ culture of authentic, simple, and beautiful moments in life spent outside.”
