BHL Appoints New Country Manager
July 30, 2018
The Banks Holdings Limited (BHL) Group announced today that Mr. Jose Infante has been appointed as Country Manager. He assumes the position following the departure of former Country Manager, Daniel Levorin, who has gone on to assume the role of Commercial Director of AB InBev’s operations in Panama.
“We are very excited to welcome Jose to Banks Holdings Limited,” said Legal & Corporate Affairs Manager, Sophia Cambridge. “He is a strong leader who has demonstrated his ability to deliver critical results during times of organizational change. His experience will prove to be integral during the coming months as BHL embarks on its next phase of growth.”
Mr. Infante joined Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana (CND), the Dominican Republic’s AB InBev subsidiary, in 2010 as a Finance Coordinator, but quickly moved through the company’s ranks. During his eight years at AB InBev, Mr. Infante has worked in various departments, including human resources, labour relations and sales. Most recently, he worked as CND’s commercial manager for two years before his appointment in Barbados.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Mother and Teacher Pontifical Catholic University in the Dominican Republic. He also has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Barna Business School in the Dominican Republic.
“I see my new role at BHL as an opportunity to build upon the strength of our brands while improving our competitiveness,” said Mr. Infante. “The global business environment is evolving rapidly, and our organization must follow suit. BHL has built a strong reputation as a quality manufacturer in Barbados and going forward, our goal is to see these results duplicated internationally.”
As country manager, Mr. Infante is responsible for the management of BHL’s overall operations, overseeing the company’s budgets, developing new business and ensuring profitability.
